Tyler Hampton

Minneapolis, MN - Trance

Born in December 1984, Tyler Hampton (Charley Pugmire) has always had a deep love of music. He began playing guitar in 1998, playing in a variety of bands from dirty street punk to melodic acoustic, but it wasn't until he was introduced to BT in 1999 that his musical interests were changed. It wasn't long before he sat himself down at a computer and attempted to create his own music. His productions have ranged from hip hop to drum n' bass to trance and everything in between. Tyler's first major production success was in early 2005, when he created the track "Elsewhere" as part of a challenge to use only the internal synthesizers in the program Fruityloops. The track garnered much praise and was picked up by TranceTribe Recordings. "Blue Storm", a collaboration with a talented young producer named Ethereal, was also released under the alias Orana Project. "Blue Storm" found immediate success, being licensed to Platipus Records for their 2005 compilation "Tales of the Unexpected" mixed by Art of Trance. Orana Project's follow-up release, "The Story Of", was equally successful, entering the top download charts on Audiojelly. With an obvious chemistry, the two have continued their production partnering, with an upcoming vinyl release on TranceTribe. With support from djs like Art of Trance, Kenneth Thomas, Giorgio Ponticelli, Suzy Solar, Scott Richardson and more, Tyler Hampton is definitely a name to look out for on the production front.

As Tyler's production success began he entered the world of djing. Starting out in late 2003, it wasn't long before he found himself playing out. For 2 years he hosted the FM radio show "Fiberglass Fidelity" on WSUM in Madison, WI. The show later had a brief stint on Party107 in 2005. After moving back to his hometown of Minneapolis, MN in 2005 he joined up with the Sound In Motion crew and began playing various clubs in the area. His high energy track selection will keep the floor moving, and his spontaneous transitions into drum n' bass will keep the crowds guessing. He has played alongside djs like Danny the Wildchild, Nick Nice, Marscruiser, Rik Fade, Louie Vega, Jack Trash, and many others. Tyler Hampton has also paired up recently with local dj Cities of Gold to bring some of the dirtiest and funkiest house grooves you could imagine.

Expect to hear plenty from Tyler C, Orana Project, & The Hamptons in 2006!
